Modal Skulpt SE Techno Synth Presets by Tommy Tranq

This is Tommy Tranq's Modal Skulpt & Skulpt SE techno synth preset library. Tommy Tranq is an electronic musician primarily making techno so these sounds are designed with techno in mind but may also be suited for other styles of electronic music as well. All sounds are demoed in order in the YouTube video.

Each sound is meticulously crafted to inspire creativity & bring your artistic vision to life.

The 128 sounds include 38 leads 34 sound effects 23 sequence sounds 17 pads 10 chords & 6 basses. It was programmed on a Skulpt SE with the ModalApp but the patches are loadable in the original Skulpt as well. All sounds are designed to stand out and grab the listener’s attention. No bread & butter sounds here. Only unique, highly modulated patches.

Making this collection was a labor of love & I’m offering it to you for free or pay what you want if you find it useful.

Each patch uses every slot of the modulation matrix. Velocity, modulation, expression, & aftertouch are not used as modifiers so that you aren’t limited by using the actual Skulpt keyboard interface AND so that maximum overt modulation is achieved. Many of these sounds develop as they are held. So writing a sequence with 16th or 8th notes AND THEN holding specific notes for variation will give a stunning element of expression as demonstrated in the YouTube video. The delay has not been programmed for any of the sounds as to allow you to be inspired by the sound to create your own delay settings.

Patches are loaded into banks within the free ModalApp editor/librarian connected to your Skulpt or Skulpt SE. Be sure to set the MIDI-In Oct Offset to On at the very bottom of the first Settings page to allow you to play all the patches in a consistent register from your DAW or MIDI Controller.
